The cutest animal in the world lives in Japan (and no, it's not a Pokémon) | Brut nature

The Japanese dwarf flying squirrel is a tiny, irresistibly cute creature found in the forests of Honshu and Kyushu in Japan. With its big round eyes, soft fur, and fluffy tail, it looks like something straight out of a fairytale. It doesn’t actually fly, but glides between trees using a stretchy membrane called a patagium between its arms and legs. Nocturnal and shy, it spends its nights gliding through treetops in search of leaves, seeds, and bark to nibble on. Video credit goes to @masato.hokk
