Visit Sudan - Welcome to Sudan

This is cultural continuity and evolution of the Sudanese ‘toub.’ Its roots trace back to ancient nile valley societies over 4,500 years ago. Kushite Queen Nefrukakashta of 25th Dynasty preserved in the British Museum wearing a garment similar to what modern Sudanese women wear. This attire predates modern “Arab” culture and Islam by centuries.
