Over time, with more visitors repeating this behavior, the trail splits into several smaller trails. Unfortunately, trail braiding degrades trail systems. 🥾 WTA’s 20th annual Hike-a-Thon is this August and everyone’s invited! Hike-a-Thon is a fun and easy fundraiser where you can support trails by getting out and enjoying them. Register as an individual or team and log your miles to compete for prizes, connect with the outdoor community and raise money for the trails you love.
