This month we have introduced the role of Ambulance Patient Flow Coordinators at the Royal Gwent Hospital. Mike and Paula have come to us from the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust. They ensure the smooth handover of patients who arrive by ambulance to the Emergency Department. They also facilitate transfers between hospitals to ensure our patient delays are reduced.
